SCHEDULE

It was good to learn about these issues and their ramifications on a macro level (community, societal), because oftentimes most people tend to focus on the effects and influence on the individual.
– Therese Chan, 23 years old

The activities were very novel. I appreciated that they helped me to reflect and make new connections, as well as ponder on Family issues like never before.
– Sophia Sng, 24 years old

Every session was memorable. I appreciate the facilitators' willingness to share about their personal life journey and how in spite of their family dysfunction, still believed and worked towards a healthy marriage.
– Sophia Koo, 26 years old

I came in rather cynical about conversations when it came to marriage.

However, hearing about what a marriage should look like — oneness, practicing a culture of honour, and celebrating the small moments — helped me to reshape my thoughts and know that my future is not determined by my past!

I can create a future that is different.”
– Shannon Leong, 20 years old

I found the panel sharing very insightful and hearing different perspectives from varied age groups was very helpful.

Marriage is normally thought of in a very worldly manner amongst my peers - people coming together to gain some benefits or simply a progression in life.

The truth of the matter is, marriage is not compromise, but is built on sacrificial love. There is so much more a marriage can be if we choose to put the other person ahead of ourselves."
– Tan Kian Yu, 21 years old

Hearing other people speak just empowers me to believe that anyone can speak up on such issues. Knowing that I am not alone when staying grounded on the views I believe in!
- Samuel Law, 22 years old

I liked how the discussions started us off on macro issues that affect society at large, and the questions we were posed were appropriately challenging so as to elicit deep reflection and thinking.
- Kimberley Tay, 24 years old

The conversations that we engaged in and the readings which were assigned gave us a lot of resources and insights on topics largely unspoken.
- Jamie Lee, 21 years old
