All around the world, the institution of Marriage and Family has come under pressure – and the wellbeing of future generations and stability of our nation is at stake.

A big picture exploration of why family still matters amidst shifting cultural trends. Potential impact of global trends and policy changes, and presenting challenges Singapore faces such as evolving household structures, economic pressures, decreasing Total Fertility Rate and a hyperaged society.

Participants will understand how broader social forces are shaping the future of family, how inaction can further exacerbate problems, while a personal commitment to collective action — starting with one’s own family and community, can potentially lead to meaningful change in society and nation. Participants will leave with greater clarity and be challenged to contribute to positive family narratives.
