It was good to learn about these issues and their ramifications on a macro level (community, societal), because oftentimes most people tend to focus on the effects and influence on the individual.
– Therese Chan, 23 years old

The activities were very novel. I appreciated that they helped me to reflect and make new connections, as well as ponder on Family issues like never before.
– Sophia Sng, 24 years old

Every session was memorable. I appreciate the facilitators' willingness to share about their personal life journey and how in spite of their family dysfunction, still believed and worked towards a healthy marriage.
– Sophia Koo, 26 years old

Hearing the family stories shared by the trainers gave me hope for reconciliation and restoration in my own family, the possibility to redeem negative narratives. I also had a better understanding on how marriage is a public good, and it widened my perspective to understand how to talk about marriage and its importance to society, beyond just my personal beliefs.

Cayla Tan, 23 years old

Being intentional in my one-on-one conversations with people. To add in a glimmer of hope to what a strong family can bring, inspiring people to know that regardless of what background they come from, they can make a difference to their new families and shape the kind of family they want.

Natalie Lee, 28 years old

Hearing other people speak just empowers me to believe that anyone can speak up on such issues. Knowing that I am not alone when staying grounded on the views I believe in!
- Samuel Law, 22 years old

I liked how the discussions started us off on macro issues that affect society at large, and the questions we were posed were appropriately challenging so as to elicit deep reflection and thinking.
- Kimberley Tay, 24 years old

The conversations that we engaged in and the readings which were assigned gave us a lot of resources and insights on topics largely unspoken.
- Jamie Lee, 21 years old

We believe that every youth’s family story is unique, with its own set of challenges and joys, but they don't have to navigate it alone.

Family Future Makers is a place they can discover clarity, hope and a flourishing way forward with a community of like-minded youths.

We provide development opportunities to nurture youth who are keen to contribute as active citizens, and to uphold family values as foundational to nation-building in Singapore.

We hope to build a pipeline of family champions who are committed to cultivate a resilient, stable and thriving Singapore for generations to come.
